Construction Superintendent - Brodhead WI

Description:

In this position, you oversee the operations of the construction site, from planning to completion. You are responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, coordinating sub-contractors and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related trade experience
  • At least 7 years’ experience in construction management
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to operate with integrity and empathy, and build lasting trust-based relationships
  • Self-directed and highly organized in approach to work

Responsibilities:

70% Construction Site Management and Coordination

  • Enforce safe work practices including OSHA standards and company/client safety programs 
  • Develop project workplans
  • Maintain 3-week look-ahead schedule
  • Coordinate on-site subcontractors, consultants, and vendors and ensure their completion of work within expected timeframe 
  • Manage submittal process
  • Maintain daily logs and construction progress photos
  • Ensure work and materials supplied by any vendor comply with project plans, specifications, laws, permits, and codes
  • Conduct quality control audits
  • Ensure work complies with design drawings, product literature, and applicable codes and regulations; communicate deviations to the Project Manager
  • Manage the work to meet or exceed construction industry practices, processes and standards
  • Maintain field office and a clean, organized job site

30% Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact onsite to owner 
  • Serve as a focal point for all parties interfacing on the site; ensure timely communication
  • Address problems and challenges with urgency; collaborate with Team Nexus as needed

Payscale:

$90,000-130,000 annually
