Boyer Fire Protection is a leading fire protection and sprinkler contractor dedicated to providing top-notch services for a safer environment. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we are looking for a Sales/Project Manager to join our contracting department.
Position Overview
The Sales / Project Manager oversees fire sprinkler projects from design to installation, ensuring constructability, schedule adherence, and field operations coordination. This role requires experience in commercial construction, preferably in the fire sprinkler trade, and involves troubleshooting field issues, managing contracts, and supporting installation teams.
Responsibilities:
- Review contracts, specifications, and safety requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Interpret and review commercial construction drawings, shop drawings, and material stocklists for accuracy and constructability.
- Resolve conflicts among MEP trades, provide on-site engineering support, and attend job site coordination meetings.
- Lead contract administration, scheduling, change orders, material procurement, and quantity tracking.
- Track weekly field productivity, job costs, and method analysis to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Guide less experienced employees in reading construction plans, understanding general construction methods, and project management responsibilities.
- Travel to construction job sites and office locations as needed (25%-50%), working in varying climates and environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Fire Protection, Construction Management, or related field (Associate’s degree considered)
- 4+ years fire sprinkler design experience plus 4+ years in commercial construction; or 5+ years in a related trade construction role
- Previous experience preferred in Procore Construction Management software
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and general computer applications
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of self-discipline, motivation, and teamwork
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and project objectives
