Description:

Under the guidance of a Superintendent, the Fire Systems Technician is responsible for the inspection, service, and commissioning of fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems while ensuring the work is performed in accordance with safety, design, budget, and schedule parameters. You will demonstrate your top-notch customer service skills by interacting with customers on a daily basis and leave them with the satisfaction of knowing they can count on Ahern for their future needs.

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of a senior technician, perform inspection and assist with commissioning of fire alarm and special hazards fire suppression systems in accordance with manufacturer and code requirements. Responsible for programming, start-ups, commissioning requirements per NFPA code, owner/end-user training, and acceptance testing with AHJ’s. Closes each customer visit by reviewing paperwork, the work that was completed, and any deficiencies. Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Provides completed reports, customer information and all necessary paperwork. Maintains awareness and is fluent with standards and codes pertaining to special hazard and fire alarm systems. Maintains upkeep of company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Adheres to on-call duties in a team rotation as assigned by the manager. Responsible for all aspects of safety, continuous improvement/efficiency improvement, and adhering to policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Payscale:

Competitive wages start at a minimum of $21.65/hour from the time you leave your house to the time you get back home. Paid weekly!
