Description:
Plumbers are responsible for the installation of code & non-code buried & exposed water and sewage distribution systems, natural gas systems, compressed air systems, and chemical feed systems. Successful candidates in this role are proficient in Universal Plumbing Code (UPC). This person thrives to learn, is a problem solver, and sets reasonable goals & expectations.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Functions
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing & other piping systems.
- Layout & installation of buried & exposed water, sewage, natural gas, compressed air, and chemical feed distribution systems of all material types.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures regarding plumbing code work installation.
- Install plumbing piping, equipment, fixtures, specialties, valves, flow meters and other pipeline items.
- Proficiency with transit and laser level setting lines, grades, and elevations.
- Locate and repair issues or leaking pipe systems.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings for record.
- Perform other construction duties as needed.
- Coordinate with all other trades during installation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Plumber
- Completion of a four (4) year apprenticeship program or completion of a two (2) year trade school.
- Knowledge or experience with wastewater and water treatment or other water control systems is a plus.

- Train and develop employees in relationship to plumbing & piping installations.
- React quickly and appropriately to emergency situations and to handle a wide variety of emergencies and unusual events.
Performance Skills
- At times work in an undesirable environment inside & outside and ability to manage the elements.
- Climbing stairs, scaffolding, ladders, earthen banks, uneven or slippery terrain.
- Entering elevated platforms and confined space environments. Use of respirator as needed meeting OSHA requirements, corporate safety program, & personal safety.
- Lifting necessary equipment & materials up to +/100 lbs.
- Skilled in the operation of various pieces of testing equipment, welding, and oxyacetylene torches.
- Performs all work tasks in a proper and safe manner following established policies, general safety rules, and safe operating procedures.
- Skill set to properly assemble all types of piping assemblies according to manufactures installation requirements.
- Travel a 300 miles radius from Marshfield, WI to project sites.
Certificates & Licenses
- Wisconsin Journeyman Certificate or Master Plumber License
- OSHA 30, Confined Space, First Aid, CPR
