As a Construction Project Manager, you will manage:
Estimation- Conceptual and Final:
- Specification and constructability review.
- Value Engineering, Job Commissioning, Project Planning, and Job Scheduling.
- Financial management of project, including regular re-forecasting.
- Assist with grant applications and securing of finical resources.
- Receive intended scope from developer and coordinate timeline.
- Source quotes from external subcontractors and suppliers where appropriate.
- Review final consolidated cost.
Job Set-up:
- Review project costing.
- Red flag project where appropriate.
- Commission project and with external suppliers.
- Organize project planning meeting.
- Confirm project timeline.
- Field Work Management & Job Monitoring:
- Ongoing monitoring of fieldwork progress.
- Take corrective action and troubleshoot where appropriate.
- Re-budget and assess financial position.
Performance Review:
- Review actual costs vs budget, document and explain variances.
- Identify opportunities for improvement
Construction Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 Years of Construction Experience
- Large Multi-family or development experience.
- Experience with Section 3 compliance, WHEDA, and/or other government funding sources preferred.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, high attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
