Description:

Our ideal candidate will be able to read and comprehend blueprints, figure quantities for removals / replacements. Solicit quotes for materials, subcontractors, apply costs and submit quote. Candidate must be able to manage multiple projects. Will be responsible to use best practices to successfully run the workforce, equipment and sub-contractors. Need to develop a positive relationship with the General Contractor or Owner of project. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, earth moving equipment and properties of earth material is needed for this position. Typical projects include schools, manufacturing and retail facilities and industrial projects such as waste water treatment plants. Ideally the candidate holds a degree in Construction or related field and has experience in earthwork estimating. Earthwork experience is required.

Responsibilities:

Assess project opportunities
Review plans, specs and geotechnical reports
Perform accurate take-off for earthwork
Collect and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
Assess labor and equipment production values
Daily hands on management of project(s)
