Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or another related degree; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates ability to positively contribute to teams and collaborate with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize and reprioritize workload dependent on daily needs of department or as directed.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Must be comfortable engaging in healthy conflict.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently run multiple projects at a time, and in some instances work in coordination with a Sr. PM on project specific related activities.
  • Work collaboratively with their project team members
  • .Day to day activities may include: review of bids, solicitation of bids or bid clarification, writing subcontract scopes of work, writing Purchase Orders, Scheduling (creation and updates), submittal review, RFI’s, change order review and processing, participate in project meetings, punch lists, closeout, etc.
  • Utilize systems and programs that WDS utilizes on a day-to-day basis, including Project Management system, accounting systems (job cost projections and invoice approval), scheduling (creation and updates), etc. Programs are subject to change over time and additional and/or new systems may be added.
  • Actively participate in Safety Compliance when on project sites, including review and documentation of inspections, corrective actions required and documentation of such items with subcontractors and project files.
  • Review and understand project contract with Owner/Client and follow the contract requirements while performing the duties for the project.
  • Develop, manage and assist in building Client relationship through active participation / interaction with client throughout the project. The goal is to build the Client relationship to allow WDS to become and maintain the relationship long term, becoming their contractor of choice.
  • PM to travel as assigned projects/duties require. This may include overnight and extended onsite stays as the project requires.
